Poet’s Corner

Budding wordsmiths have another opportunity to get their darlings out in front of a (possibly) adoring public with Vesuvio’s new open mic poetry night, held on the first time on the 6th of November. It’s set to be hosted by Lyttleton-based poet Andy Coyle, whose first collection Ode to the Cyclist & Other Poems was published in 2015, and has represented Ōtautahi in the New Zealand Poetry Slam finals. Everyone’s welcome along to get up on the mic and perform their own work or recite work from other writers.
