Juno Gin Releases Gift Pack for International Women’s Day

To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, Taranaki’s Juno Gin will release a new gin pack that highlights the incredible lives of three Kiwi women who helped shape Aotearoa.

The Trailblazers gift pack features four 200ml bottles with three recipes chosen to reflect activist, philanthropist and arts patron Monica Brewster, artist and poet Emily Harris, and surgeon and researcher Jean Sandel. It will also include Juno’s signature Extra Fine Gin.

The pack was labelled the Trailblazers to reference the vivacious personality of all three women. Founder of Juno Gin, Jo James says “By raising these women up as role models, we aim to remind ourselves, as well as other Kiwis, that we too can be part of the solution and leave a positive mark on the world around us”.

Each delicious drop contains different flavour profiles. Monica Brewster was a worldly and well-travelled woman, who advocated women's rights. MONICA is a triple-distilled gin that reflects her independent and adventurous spirit. It's a full-flavoured citrus gin, sparkling with notes of kaffir lime. Emily Cumming Harris was one of New Zealand's first prominent artists and a talented writer and poet. EMILY captures her love of all things botanical and is an indulgent honey gin that sings with lime blossom, lemon verbena and chamomile. Jean Sandel was a doctor surgeon and pioneer for cardiovascular surgery and Māori health. While always on-call, she was known to enjoy a watching a game of cricket where she could. JEAN is a nod to enjoying a relaxing moment on the green in the summer sun. It includes notes of red clover flower rounded off with lush orange.

The Trailblazer pack will be available to purchase from March 8 in stores and through the Juno Gin website.
