Why do you choose to live in the four aves? I can walk to most things, great for walking around the parks, close to restaurants, bars and entertainment. The stadium will be close, when built.
Biggest drawcard? The great small complex we live in. It’s good quality, close to amenities, and the location is great for public transport.
Biggest drawback? The lack of parking for everyone near the park, and it gets very busy with traffic just going around in circles, parking illegally.
Fave local coffee? Child Sister.
Food? Lots – Rangoon Ruby, Riverside Market, 5th Street, Inati, Earl.
Entertainment? OGB for live music.
Retail? Ballantynes.
How do you get around? Walk, scooter, car.
What’s your occupation? Accounts and admin.
Is work handy to home? Yes, very handy.
Can you describe the Christchurch of the future in once sentence? With a new start, Christchurch has become a warm welcoming city that has a diverse range of people and has the most updated infrastructure in the country, and it’s a place most want to come and visit, live in and enjoy.
Why should other people move here now? Everything is new and it’s a city that welcomes all. Accommodation has to step up to cater for people coming here, as there’s not much around the CBD for mid-range apartments. The big anchor projects are well under way and will be what people will want to see and use. The new convention centre will bring in lots to the city to visit, and hopefully the newness of the city will entice people to come here to live.
